Jaimie Woo
Creative Producer, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Consultant, Communications Expert
My name is Jaimie, and I'm so delighted to share my story and creative portfolio with you.
After spending five years working in non-profit advocacy and political communications at U.S. PIRG, the Obama White House, and the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, DC, I moved to Los Angeles, CA to join the effort in amplifying diverse stories, and meaningfully engage with creatives to use entertainment platforms as a vehicle to promote social change. Since settling in LA, I've produced Emmy-nominated short documentaries for Breakwater Studios, worked for Emmy-nominated writer and director Sam Esmail, and consulted for clients in the non-profit, journalism, and entertainment space as a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) advisor, impact producer, and communications strategist. Currently, I am the Senior Director of Development at Culture House, a Black, Brown and woman-owned media company that creates content at the intersection of pop culture and politics. I am also an independent DEI consultant and adjunct professor at the University of Southern California.
I invite you to learn more about who I am, the skillset I've cultivated, and how we might be able collaborate together.
"You are not randomly here. The work you’ve put in and the experiences you’ve had have let you to where you are, and you were chosen for a reason. You might not know the exact reason or even believe it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true."
